FSL Weekend Watch November 27

Nov. 27, 2025

12U Calgary Glaciers

Ready to run

Having played the fewest games, the Calgary Glaciers are poised to make a run up the standings.

At 12-1-0-1, they sit in third place but have five fewer games than first-place Vancouver.

The Glaciers will take on the Jr. Ooks this weekend, the last team to beat them.

The Glaciers have given up just 19 goals, and gaining their blueline has proven difficult. They are averaging just 14 shots against per game, and Casey Barker has been terrific with a .86 goals against average and a .943 save percentage to go with a 6-1 record.

12U Bow Valley Nationals

Streaky Nats

The Nats have been a roller coaster this season, and they are hoping to end one streak and start another this weekend.

They have had runs of four and six wins in a row, but currently have lost three straight.

The Nats will play four games in three days this weekend and are hoping to catch idle Langley for fourth place and will be relying on their offence to do it. Bow Valley is averaging almost five goals per game.

Braeylynn Francoeur is leading the way with 13 goals, 9th most in the league.

16U Jr. Ooks

All Edmonton Weekend

The three Edmonton-based Hubs will battle this weekend at the Silent Ice Center. The Jr. Ooks are 3-2 in their last five games, but the two losses have been consecutive.

They’ll get a chance to start a new streak this weekend when they take on Aurora HC twice and face Angels Pro Hockey on Saturday. The Ooks are one point up on the Angels for third place and are five points back of Purcell Hockey Academy for 3rd place.

Jayla Van Dyk leads the way offensively with 10 goals and 14 points, including four power play goals.

16U Aurora HC

Blushing win streak

They haven’t played in almost three weeks, and the team is hoping the glow remains from their recent run.

Aurora has put up three straight wins and has taken four of their last five games, including a 2-0 shutout in their last outing on November 8th when Abigail Lavery made 14 saves, half of them in the third period when Calgary pushed to tie it.

They have given up just five goals in their last three and are going with the philosophy of “the best defence is keeping the puck at the other end” as they have been outshooting opponents, including putting up 49 shots recently.

The victory over Calgary also featured an Aurora power play goal, the first time in five games.
