Silent Ice Sports and Entertainment is an innovative market leader in the development of sports and entertainment properties, with a focus on vertical integration of athlete, teams, leagues and media.
Established in the 2024-25 season, The Female Super League (FSL) is a high performance hockey league for females, built to provide elite competition, structured development pathways and meaningful exposure opportunities across Western Canada. We are proud to deliver the structure, competition and opportunities required to advance female athletes to reach their highest potential. With significant momentum, we have grown from 14 teams in 2024-25 to over 55 teams in 2026-27; with further expansion anticipated into 2027-28.
Utilizing a tiered structure (12U AAA to 19U AAA), athletes are able to progress with the same system supporting continuity in development and coaching standards. With league enforced minimum standards for both on and off ice training, innovative partnerships, and a focus on long term athlete development, we continue to push the standards of excellence in female hockey. Teams participate in a minimum of 32 regular season games in addition to special events and external showcase opportunities, in a Showcase format across Western Canada.
The FSL has a demonstrated commitment to preparing athletes for increasing physical demands of elite competition, introducing advanced body checking at the 14U+ level to better prepare athletes for higher levels of hockey and the evolving female game, including pathways toward the Professional Women's Hockey League.
