From the opening puck drop, the Bow Valley Nationals established a relentless offensive presence that Victoria Hockey Academy simply could not contain. The Nationals peppered the Victoria net with 16 shots in the first period alone, and it was only a matter of time before they broke through. Charleigh McCulloch, wearing number 12, opened the scoring with an even-strength goal at the 4:58 mark, a goal that would stand as the game-winner. Brynnen Neilly, number 16, doubled the lead just three minutes later, sending the Nationals into the first intermission with a commanding 2-0 lead and all the momentum.
The second period turned into a shooting gallery for Bow Valley, who unleashed 20 more shots on goal. The floodgates opened as the Nationals' top line took over. Blake Ernewein, number 8, started the onslaught, followed by a power-play marker from Leah Cann, number 9, after a penalty to Victoria's Nahla Martiniuk. Danica Mikan, number 14, and Evra Slanisky, number 81, also found the back of the net, with Cann adding her second of the period. The playmaking was superb, with Klaire Hilliard, number 10, notching three assists in the frame alone. Victoria's goalie, Madelyn Holland, faced an impossible barrage, ultimately allowing eight goals on 51 shots through two periods before being relieved.
Any hope of a Victoria comeback was extinguished early in the third when Charleigh McCulloch scored her second of the night on the power play just 15 seconds into the period. Klaire Hilliard then capped off her stellar four-point night with a goal of her own, and Leah Cann completed her hat trick midway through the frame to bring the final score to 10-0. In the Bow Valley net, Lauren Coppinger, number 29, was scarcely tested but perfect, turning aside all four shots she faced to secure the shutout victory. The Nationals' offense was a well-oiled machine, with McCulloch, Cann, Hilliard, Mikan, and Ernewein all recording multi-point games in a display of utter dominance from start to finish.
