In a game dominated by the Bow Valley Nationals on the shot clock, the Vancouver Aeros showcased the power of timely scoring and clutch goaltending to secure a hard-fought 4-3 win. The Nationals came out firing, outshooting the Aeros 13-5 in the first period, and were rewarded on the power play. With Kaitlin Ringrose in the box for a check behind, the Nationals capitalized as charleigh mcculloch, assisted by Blake Ernewein, found the back of the net to give Bow Valley an early lead. The Aeros weathered the storm, thanks in large part to the stellar play of goaltender Violet Stanley, who faced a barrage of 36 shots over the course of the game.
The second period saw the momentum swing back and forth. Vancouver's Eavan White answered with a power-play goal of her own, assisted by Serena Walji, to tie the game. However, Bow Valley's Kaitlin Ringrose atoned for her earlier penalty by scoring an even-strength goal, with helpers from Leah Cann and Danica Mikan, to restore the Nationals' lead. The period was a parade to the penalty box, with four minors called, setting a physical tone for the final frame. The Aeros entered the third period down a goal but with a chance to rally.
Rally they did. The third period belonged to Vancouver as they struck twice in quick succession to seize control. First, bella Sandhu, assisted by Sayler Bencze, tied the game. Just over a minute and a half later, Isla Gunther scored to give the Aeros their first lead of the night. The resilient Nationals refused to go quietly, as Danica Mikan scored, assisted by Kaitlin Ringrose, to knot the game at 3-3 with just over seven minutes remaining. The stage was set for a dramatic finish, and it was Vancouver's OLIVIA DOSANJH who delivered the final blow, scoring the game-winning goal in the dying moments to cap off a resilient team performance and secure a massive two points for the Aeros.
