The Major squad set the tone early, with Nicola Levesque opening the scoring midway through the first period. She then doubled the lead just minutes later, netting what would stand as the game-winning goal, assisted by Liana-Maree Russo and Claire Pederson. Despite a brief response from the Minor team's Meeya Gerbrandt in the second period, assisted by AP Gia Kalirao, the Major squad was just getting started. They erupted for two quick goals from Zoe Alook to close the second frame, taking a 4-1 lead and never looking back.
