The middle frame saw the Glaciers extend their advantage through the efforts of Maci Dueck. Dueck scored twice in the period, first at the 14:04 mark with helpers from Hana Chalupova and Emma Sawin, and then again unassisted at 8:10 to make it 4-1. Despite the Phantoms outshooting the Glaciers 11-14 in the period, they could not solve Glaciers' netminder Morgan Sloane, who turned aside every opportunity to preserve the growing lead. Abigail Mills netted a goal early, assisted by Peyton Krueger, before the line of Lyla Elian and Emma Sawin took over. Elian scored at 4:03, with Sawin and Lilly Redmond earning assists, and just 28 seconds later, Sawin scored one of her own, assisted by Lily Bennett and Abigail Mills, to complete the 7-1 rout. The Phantoms' Ellaina Young faced a relentless 32-shot attack, while at the other end, Morgan Sloane was a wall, stopping 30 of 31 shots for a stellar performance in net. The game grew chippy late with multiple roughing and boarding minors, but the outcome was long decided, cementing a comprehensive team win for the Calgary Glaciers.
