The Rustlers' goaltending saw a change as Parker Fritz was relieved after the fourth goal, with Allie Hillis taking over the net. Hillis was stellar in relief, stopping 24 of 25 shots, but the damage was done. The third period saw the Nationals' Jordyn Dumont strike again for her second of the game, assisted by charleigh mcculloch, to make it 5-2.
